You Fuck Me But You Dislike Me

There are many straight men who dislike women but still participate in relationships with women. My Instagram (IG) followers did a better job at explaining this concept than I did, so I’ll let them answer…

“Easy-these were the niggas I used to see in the barbershop. These are men who were raised to view women as property!” -IG follower #1

“Misogynistic and only wanna be bothered with women when it’s beneficial for them.” – IG follower #2

These group of men are usually emotionally unavailable! The only time they are intimate (close to someone) is during sex. Even this moment can be robbed due to lack of compassion! Think of your argumentative man. No, not that one who engage in debates, who aims to make a valid point but the one who is always in the battle of the sexes and no matter what, the man always win!

A simple debate about partnership in an exclusive relationship will easily turn into an argument about gender roles, issues women have, the hardships of being a man, blah blah woe is me! His perspective usually sounds as if women are beneath him. He wants a woman to wait on him hand and foot because she’s “supposed to!” Have you ever heard the saying, “Ask a man to describe a perfect woman and listen as he describes a slave?” This is that man for sure!

How do men become misogynistic? Whew! There are several factors but to name a few, mommy issues! Am I the only who finds it funny how society forces women to acknowledge their issues, and seek help to fix said issues…but this same society, graze over men with mommy issues specifically! Yes children need both parents but be for real, it is uncommon for mothers to withhold love, care, guidance, their presence from their children in comparison to a father. An absent mother is scarring!

Other factors can include:

“From my experience they be having mommy issues, unhealed childhood trauma! They momma wasn’t shit so they think all women ain’t shit! Still very gay though in my opinion because if you hate us that bad and love your homeboy so much, switch sides nigga! (followed by various emojis)” -IG follower #4

"The men lowkey hate women due to having past trauma relationships with their mothers or having being played by that 1 girl/woman back in the day and they been on a vengeance ever since! Also, these men may have children BUT IF THEY DO…..according to them, they were never in a relationship with the baby momma!” –IG follower #5

I know, an earful, well…an eye-ful!

I will leave you with this, we did explore the possibility of being bi/sexual, down-low, or curious. This can also be the result of the misogynistic behavior displayed towards women. Suppressing a part of you to fit in a societal “box” can be a heavy burden to carry. But whatever is the root for your misogynistic beaux, just know it is not your responsibility to cure it. In fact, it is perfectly fine for you to move on and leave them on their plantation!
