My favorite author is Ashley Antoinette.
My introduction to her was through Jaquavis Coleman, The Dopeman's Wife Trilogy! From here, I transitioned to their 7 series book, The Cartel. Eventually I made my way to A Moth To A Flame, Ethic (6 part book series), and Butterfly (5 part book series and counting). Those books are in order. As you can see, I've been part of Ash Army for a while. Her characters are well written, too well actually! At one point, I found myself grieving and wondering about people who aren't real....(looney, ok)!
For the past few months, maybe a year, I've been intenitonal about reading new gneres and authors. Right now, I am deeply in love with thrillers! My friend introduced me to Verity by Colleen Hoover. I enjoyed it so much I continued on and found, The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose but my all time favorite thriller is Those Empty Eyes by Charlie Donlea. This is not a romance thriller, it is a THRILLER! I may be slow but I could not figure out who was the killer in Those Empty Eyes, my head was spinning! But when the killer was revealed, I was stuck for a couple of days!
I just finished The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose. This is part two of The Perfect Marriage. Do I think The Perfect Divorce is a must read? No. But it was a decent read. This book lacked an AMAZING plot twist in comparison to book one. Sometimes, I want the villian to get away and sometimes I dont. Do what you will with that information although it wasn't much.
Currently I am reading The HouseMaid by Frieda McFadden. I finished book one and now I am moving on to book two. So far, I highly recommend reading The Housemaid! I stayed up until 4am to finish the story and it was 100% worth every hour of sleep I lost. While reading, I thought the story was going in one direction but when it took a turn, I was pleasantly surprised.
To wrap this up, If you ever read The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah and enjoyed it, please read book two, A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsha Santiago Story. I despeartely want justice for this book. Book two follows Winter's younger sister, Porsha. Once her father was arrested, Porsha and her younger siblings were placed in foster care. Porsha's behavior landed her in juvenille detention, eventually she breaks out and becomes what Winter should have, a boss! Porsha's story evolved beautifully. Unlike Winter, Porsha's story was an emotional ride.
Let me know if you will read any of the books I mentioned! I'll do in-depth book reviews more often. I love reading!
Until Next Time,
