Boosting Your Vaginal Lubrication—At Home!

Yes, sis—it’s absolutely possible to support your vaginal lubrication naturally from the comfort of your home. But if you're currently on medication or have a medical condition, it’s always wise to check in with your OBGYN first. Your body deserves both care and clarity!

Now, let’s talk anatomy for a second.

There are two pairs of glands inside the vulva responsible for producing vaginal lubrication:

  • The Skene’s glands (2) (also called the female prostate) are located near the urethral opening.

  • The Bartholin’s glands (2) sit just at the entrance of the vaginal opening.

When these glands are properly stimulated—especially during arousal—they help your body create that natural lubrication that makes everything feel smoother, more pleasurable, and more comfortable.

Here are a few ways to enhance your lubrication naturally:

Clit Stimulation

Stimulating the clitoris through masturbation or foreplay helps increase blood flow and activate those lubrication-producing glands. When you're exploring your own body, pay attention to what type of touch creates the most wetness—then communicate that with your partner. This isn’t just about getting wetter—it’s about being empowered in your pleasure.

Hydration, Hydration, Hydration!

Your body is made up of about 70% water, and when you’re dehydrated, your vaginal tissues feel it. A dry body often equals a dry vagina. To stay juicy—drink up!

  • Aim to drink half your body weight in ounces of water daily.

  • Add electrolyte boosters like Liquid I.V. or coconut water for better absorption.

  • Eat more hydrating fruits: Think watermelon, peaches, oranges, pineapples, plums, blueberries—the more water-rich, the better!

Bonus Tip: Get to Know Your Body

Pleasure and lubrication are deeply connected. The more comfortable and relaxed you are, the easier it is for your body to respond. Explore yourself without pressure. Find your rhythm. Pleasure is a wellness practice too!

I hope these tips help you connect with your body in a new way. Whether you’re solo or with a partner, remember: your pleasure is yours to prioritize.
